Michael Weinberger was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1994. He has been a frequent presenter on our Families in Actions panel for the past 6 years. Michael is a successful entrepreneur, loving husband and proud father of two. He has learned how to use his diagnosis to his advantage with the help of medication and mindfulness practices. Michael is a dynamic speaker who is guaranteed to entertain as he walks you through his experiences. Location: “The Well!” at Brighton First United Methodist Church is a house located on church property but does not have a separate address. The building faces Brighton Lake Road. If you drive to the back of the parking lot, there are stairs leading to the door of the house where we will meet. ! A NAMI sign will be posted outside of the door.
We meet every second and fourth Thursday of the month, 7-9 p.m. at the Brighton First United Methodist Church, 400 East Grand River, Brighton. Family members and those with mental illness are welcome; we split into two groups. Call Barb at 810-231-6011 for more information. If we need to cancel due to weather, Barb will send out a cancellation email by 3 pm the day of support group.
